I've been living at Oak Creek for over two years and in the last year there has been a change in management that has convinced me to renew my lease. The NEW management is kind and courteous and lives up to a standard of service that I can get behind. Any problems that my home might have, the office and their team solve them promptly and with a smile. I love living here!

Apt. Was being turned over. Most redone minus old stove in kitchen. Kitchen appliances were older and took away from the fresh feeling of upgrade. Bedroom was small.

Corey and Lisa were able to get my partner and I into our new apt 3 days ahead of schedule. They made sure the unit was clean and ready for us. We were stuck with no where to place our belongings (days in an un air conditioned truck and having to stay at a hotel ). Corey very pleasant and did everything he said he would and was a pleasure to work with. Really appreciated these two peoples efforts to make out move work out . Thank you Corey and Lisa !!

I lived in this apartment complex from May 2018- January 2020. My apartment was a bottom floor middle courtyard setup. I originally looked at about 75% of the 1st Lake Properties before one of their gracious employees notified me that the Creeks had the best rates and amenities I was looking for in my budget. She pointed me specifically to Oak Creek. Life at Oak Creek was very quiet, very nice people, and kept up fairly well. The courtyard setup was kept very clean, getting landscaped numerous times during my stay. Pros: -Management of this property never gave me any issues, responded quickly, and were available. -Maintenance responded to all requests within 24 hours and left notices when they were in the apartment as to the progress/completion. -Market studies on apartments causes rent rates to rise, but the increase was only around $25 for me. -It was very nice to pay a flat rate on water, garbage, pest control. -Parking: I never had an issue parking, but depending on the time of year, the parking spots got slim. Tenants from neighbor properties were also parking here. -The Creeks complex was safe to navigate and walk in at all hours. Not in the hustle and bustle of New Orleans, butjust a quick jump on Earhart away. If you want to remain a tourist, River Ridge/Elmwood is the place to live. The complex is within 5 miles of everything you could possibly need. Restaurants in this area/Metairie will keep you from needing to go into the city unless you want to. -I'm not a pool person, but the pool area is nice. Very few tenants actually swam during my stay there. There are multiple outdoor grills to use for BBQ as well. Most of the time I saw tenants sitting by the pool at the tables reading/talking on the phone, etc. - Side-by side washer/dryer- one of the main things I was looking for, as the stacks are horrible. -Spacious Floor Designs- I had a 1 bedroom, so the living area/bedroom/kitchen/bathroom was almost 900 square feet. Huge. - Management gives you a contact to call to setup on internet and other amenities upon signing the lease. - Management puts notices on doors when events, maintenance/prevention events come due, when things are happening that need to stop. CONS: (Very few) -Neighbors are not always the quiet/considerate ones. Walls are thin, so the staircases amplify the steps taken by neighbors. Luck of the draw I guess. It is an older complex. -The alarms in the apartments do not notify law enforcement/fire department. They go off at times and are the loudest, piercing thing you have ever heard. Make sure management gives you the code upon signing your lease. I was not given one when I arrived. The first and only incident I had was after an electrical outage after about 1 year there. I arrived home from out of town at 10pm and the alarm went off, awaking all of my neighbors. I had never had to enter a code prior to this and it was not in my lease papers. I called the maintenance emergency number and was instructed on how to disable it by disconnecting wires. It stayed that way until I left. -The apartment layout with a door wall to create a "foyer" when you walk in the apartments are outdated and do not allow large furniture to fit through the door. Overview: Go in and talk with the manager, you will not be disappointed. This is one of the more budget-friendly properties in the lineup, but it is not the cheapest kept or managed. If you want the 2020 updated amenities, they have more upscale properties than Oak Creek, but those you will pay much more for. This was learned after visiting the above-stated 75% of the properties. 1st creek had a complex for each budget situation.

Friendly staff and wonderful accommodations. Thank you so much for helping me with everything Noelle! Can’t wait to finally move in!

When I first moved in I wasn't thrilled with everything that had went wrong within just a month of living there but we haven't had any issues since and maintenance is always nice and quick to respond.

Oak Creek is an awesome place to live! I've been here almost a year and absolutely love it. The staff is nice and friendly, problems are handled quickly. The grounds are well maintained as is the pool. Friendly neighbors, spacious apartments that feel more like a home, and great prices. Convenient to lots of restaurants, shopping and Earhardt Expressway makes it easy to get to downtown. I highly recommend this property.

Clean, quiet, well maintained, office and maintenance staff are excellent, good location, and surprisingly inexpensive. Nice pool and tennis court, but unfortunately no gym. Beautiful grounds.

By Louis Turner, May 22, 2014 from Google

We love this complex! The floor plans are spacious, the rates are reasonable, there are usually specials if you are flexible with your move in dates, and the grounds are well kept. More importantly, the staff is PHENOMENAL! No matter what your needs may be, they attend it as soon as they are able, which is usually within a few business days. They are kind, courteous, and helpful, both the office staff and maintenance. No matter what the need, they will usually take care of the request, even those they don;t technically have to do. The area is in a nice convenient location as well!

Awesome place to live at. Clean, sharp with a great swimming pool and tennis court. Nice people around you. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Not too far from New Orleans downtown...straight shoot through Earhart blvd. Love it!

Great quiet living! Oak Creek Apartments are in a great quiet safe location. The apartment is in a gated community with a few tennis courts. I have only needed to call for maintenance assistance on one occassion due to an outlet not working and the response was very fast. I would reccomend these apartments to anyone that wants to avoid the traffic and danger of living in the city but also still have the city readily accessible.
