I currently live at Chestnut and I have been here for almost 2 1/2 years. I have been so pleased with my experience here. The Creek Apts are so well maintained. The grounds are very manicured. My front door step is blown off almost daily. I have been pleasantly surprised at how quiet this area is. I feel very safe and comfortable living here. The staff is always available to me!!

I lived here for almost 2 years and lived it! Very spacious apartments! Great management! Very safe and well kept grounds!

The Creeks I'm in a cramped apartment, with my husband and son. We have a girl on the way and this apartment is so loud. The walls are thin and I have to constantly complain about the neighbors noise and the midnight pool parties. I pay a healthy $1200 per month for this two bedroom and am at my wits end over the absurdities. When I complain and name the people responsible for disturbances the manager responds by sending us all warnings!! I need a new place because I can't stand living in this frat house. My son is constantly awakened by my upstairs neighbors fights and stomping at 12-3 in the morning.

apartments I been living here since 2007 my first apartment, it have a warn feel to it at first i was scared to live by myself but after my first night here i knew i was home. its a friendly and safe place i think because the staff actually look out for you. If something not right or out of sorts they let you know in a heartbeat and that make me feel safe and not to mention the veiw i got overlooking the garden, beautiful in the spring so if you are looking for a place to call home and to make you feel safe at the same time The Oaks of River ridge is your home away from home.

I have lived at chestnut creek for almost a year. Love my apt, great staff, beautiful landscaping! Only complaint is that there isn't as much parking as I would like but, not a big problem. Highly recommend!!!

I have live in chestnut creek for about a year and a month and this is by far the best apartment community I have ever live in. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is a safe and quite area. There are great stores and restaurants near by. And my kids love the pool area during the summer.

By Jordco, May 30, 2014 from Apartment Ratings

This is a great community to live in. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The community is located in an area with great dining, entertainment and fitness options. These things were all very important to me when I was looking for a home. The pool is great and I would recommend Chestnut Creek for anyone looking for a home.

I've been living here for right over a year. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds are kept beautifully as well. I highly recommend Chestnut Creek!

I have only lived at Chestnut Creek for the month and a half, but I already love it! The set up of my 2 bedroom apartment is what led me to make the decision to live here. Immediately upon entering the apartment it felt like home to me. The staff is really friendly. They handle all maintenance request really quickly. The landscaping is beautiful. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to rent an apartment in the RIver Ridge area.

I have lived in Chestnut Creek for over 3 years since I moved to New Orleans from Ohio. Rent is reasonable for the area at $1,100 per month for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment on the third floor. My neighbors are very friendly and I have never had an issue with noise from other apartments. The community is maintained very well and the landscaping is beautiful. The staff has always been very accessible and helpful. When I have needed maintenance work done in my apartment, the work was completed the same day I called. The location is great too as it is near the expressway and minutes from the restaurants, shopping, movies, etc. of Elmwood. I highly recommend Chestnut Creek apartments.

Charms I have lived in the Chestnut Creeks apartment over 7 years since our move back to New Orleans. I love this area and the site is very safe. Our neighbors are friendly and do not cause us any problems. We have a two bedroom and two baths. I find the rent very reasonable for the amenities that we have. If there is a problem the front office is very prompt about sending out their people to handle the situation. I would recommend this site to my friends.

I have lived in the Creeks for a few years now, in Chestnut Creek specifically for a little more than one. The location is excellent (6 miles to uptown New Orleans, 5 minutes to Metairie). The Elmwood area in general has all the conveniences you need within a minute or two! The apartments themselves are well maintained (grounds and units both). They are pet friendly so my dog enjoys the place as well! The high, vaulted ceilings and split level floors allow for a larger feeling apartment. Each unit has a fireplace which is a nice touch on winter nights. The pool is cleaned very regularly (even during the winter) and there is a barbecue pit for community use. However, the pool is quite small and can become fairly crowded on weekends and summer evenings. The management is friendly and accommodating, always willing to address any needs we have ever had. I have always had same day maintenance service and even emergency service when the air conditioning went out on a Saturday in August! Overall, highly recommended!

I moved in Chestnut Creek at the beginning of this year. The staff is friendly and always helpful and my neighbors are great. The grounds are kept beautifully and the location is perfect. I have to commend the maintenance workers as well. If there are any problems, they are quick to address it and get it resolved.

I have lived in Chestnut Creek Apartments for a little over a year. I love it. Living near the Earhart Expressway gives me an excellent route to downtown with little or no traffic, I hate traveling I-10, never know what the traffic is like until you get stuck in it. I visit family and friends often and feel very comfortable leaving and returning any time of the day or night. It is a quiet community, lots of residents exercising within the complex (walking, jogging, biking & walking their pets). There is an unlimited supply of stores for shopping, restaurants (dining in or out), grocery shopping, movie theater, exercises facilities, banks, pharmacies, whatever you are looking for it's within 10 minutes. Reported maintenance issues are resolved quickly and the complex offers discounts from local vendors. The staff are always attentive and welcoming.

I love my new home at Chestnut Creek. The location is perfect... it's close to everything. My apartment is huge and at a great price for the River Ridge area. I checked out several properties before my daughter convinced me to see Chestnut Creek. Lashon and Sherri made the process simple and worry-free. I found the perfect apartment just for me.

By woolhg, May 22, 2014 from Apartment Ratings

I was nervous about moving away from home; however, Chestnut Creek Apartments made it really easy and affordable. As I was moving in, I immediately felt that this place was a second home. Everyone is extremely friendly and nice. I have no complaints. Whenever I had a maintenance request they were speedy and efficient. I am proud to call my apartment, my new home.

After looking at many apartments I finally settled on Chestnut Creek Apartments. This is the nicest property in the Creeks from my estimation. Although this is not a new property, the grounds are exceptionally well kept up and the maintenance staff is prompt and courteous. Its difficult to find pet-friendly apartments in the metro area for a reasonable price but, Chestnut Creek has been a good home for me and my dog.

After being here over a year, it feels like a home in so much as an apartment can be. It is nice, clean, and relatively quiet. There are sufficient amenities on premises to keep one distracted; however, there is not a gym of any kind on the grounds. There are a lot of gyms that are in the area that are really cheap, if that is something of importance to you. Chestnut Creek Apartments' location is the best part as it is walking distance to most anything you'll ever need, and it is right next to Airheart and a block from Airline (any part of the City of New Orleans/Greater New Orleans in no time). I do not plan on moving anytime soon. This is the best apartment I have had since moving to the city 13 years ago.

Great people, great community, awesome apartments

I've been in this community for 3 years and I love it. It is perfectly located, everything is only a 5 minute or 15 minute drive away. Near shopping centers, movie theaters, restaurants, fast food, etc. The staff is really friendly, and their maintenance excellent. One call and they are at your apt right away.

By Locksmith13, May 19, 2014 from Apartment Ratings

This is a great facility, we are located next to Earhart Expressway so you can be downtown in 20 minutes or less. Semi-closed, very safe and secure, Beautiful grounds and each building has a pool so it's never over crowded. I love it here and recommend it to everyone. - Satisfied Resident :)

I've been here just a little over two years now and have been delighted with my unit and the property overall. I've had repeated repair issues with my AC, but Maintenance is always quick to respond. Sherry is Top-Shelf and LeShawn is as nice as can be. I would have no reservations whatsoever to refer anybody to this property.

By Wilsonbm, May 17, 2014 from Apartment Ratings

I have been at Chestnut Creek for about 2 months. I chose this property after an extensive search in the area due to its great location, square footage, and beautiful grounds. The one bedroom apt that I am in is approx 900 sq ft and has TONS of storage. The grounds are beautiful and always being kept up and/or updated. I have had a couple of issues that I needed maintenance to attend to and each time, I received same day service. I have not used the pool yet, but it is a great perk and seems to be popular amongst the neighbors. The location that I am in is extremely quiet. I rarely hear neighbors. The manager, Sherry, and Assistant Manager, LaShawn, are great to work with and get to know their tenants by their first names due to the small size of this particular community. I work at Ochsner and can get to work in 10 minutes by jumping right onto the nearby Earhart Expressway. I also get a discount as an Ochsner employee. I love that the tenants are constantly walking/running around the community for exercise. It has actually inspired me to do the same. Also, the driveway closest to Chestnut Creek closes at 7pm each night and forces anyone entering or leaving after that time to pass by a guard shack as an extra crime deterrent. I feel very safe here. I have had a very positive experience since moving here..... Can't say enough positive things about it. Highly recommended.

I have been a resident here for 18 months. I lived in two other 1st Lake properties since 2009 but I honestly have to say, this is by far, the best. Management and maintenance are superb. Quiet, comfortable and a sense of home....I am retired and don't plan on leaving here until they take me to the nursing home.

By FrancheboisGuidry, May 16, 2014 from Apartment Ratings

My review is spot on with most of the others listed here. Rent is a bit on the high side but it is a happy medium for a 1 bedroom. My husband and I have collectively lived here for 5 years which should attest to our experience. Staff is friendly and professional and maintenance is quick to respond. Most times there is adequate parking for our building and the grounds are well kept. There are the occasional noise complaints that come with most apartment living situations but those which are unruly are often handled with promptness from the staff.
