1 Pet (less than 20 pounds full grown): $300 deposit of which $100 is non-refundable, plus $15/month pet fee. 

1 Pet (21 – 40 pounds full grown): $600 deposit of which $100 is non-refundable, plus a $25/month pet fee. 

2 Pets (Maximum total weight, of both pets combined, 40 pounds full grown): $600 deposit of which $100 is nonrefundable, plus $25/month pet fee. 

Restricted dog breeds include any dogs which are partial, or full, Pit Bull, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, English Bull Terrier, Chow Chow, Rottweiler, Doberman, Alaskan Malamutes, Huskies, Presa Canario, Saint Bernard, Great Dane, Akita, Rhodesian Ridgeback, German Sheppard or Boxer. 1st Lake reserves the right to restrict any other breed or animal.

The cost for renting a unit is in the high end compared to other apartments near by the community. Maintenance staff is friendly and competent. Most apartment units in this complex need upgrades such as energy efficient appliances and kitchen renovations. The washer, dryer and refrigerator are old and not energy efficient. Apartment complex is in a great location.

My neighbors are super great and always respectful of other tenants. I have had a good experience with the management too. The location of the complex is accessible to all areas of Metairie/New Orleans quickly.

This is one of the best place to live in Orleans area, the place is clean and close to restaurants,shopping etc., the community is clean, rental office clearly knows how to talk, respect residents. Maintenance is really good and doesn't take too much time to respond to work orders.

I have been living at Citrus Creek East for about 7 months now and I have had nothing but positive experiences. I had several appliances break on me unexpectedly and they were fast to come out and replace them with new ones. Every maintenance request have been responded to within 24 hours. I know people talk about the gate not working half the time, but I haven’t ever had an issue getting into the gate. If it does break where it won’t close for the night, they will repair it. Apartment gates are fickle. It happens. Every person in the office has been super friendly and always accommodating. They even gave us a bag of cookies for Christmas. Most apartments don’t do those sort of things, so I appreciate all this team does! Highly recommend these apartments!

I moved into Citrus Creek two months ago, and I've enjoyed my time here immensely. The staff have been extremely helpful from day one. The apartment complex is very safe, quiet, and has a neighborly feel. Kenny Ruiz, one of their Leasing Consultants, has always been very helpful with answering any questions or addressing any concerns that I had. I also really like that they hold community events, like "Taco Tuesday" that encourage residents to get to know each other. I would definitely recommend living here to the young professional looking for a quiet area in a very convenient location. It's very close to the Earhart highway, which makes the trip to New Orleans less than ten minutes. I work at Tulane, and it takes less than 15 minutes every morning for me to get to the office.

I've been a Citrus Creek East residence since December 2015. The staff has always been courteous, prompt and professional. Whatever my needs have been whatever time it was requested, the staff has taken care of me and my family. The grounds are beautifully kept and the scenery is very quiet and serene. The landscaped is groomed for picturesque moments. I used the plush grounds as my background scenery for my live college graduation pictures. It is my pleasure to call Citrus Creek my home.

We LOVED this location!! The closet space is awesome! We lived here for 3.5 years and only moved because we found a house. It is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. The buildings and grounds are regularly maintained. (We received new window blinds even though we had no problems with our old ones) And any maintenance issues are addressed within hours. There is a nice, clean fitness center and and an outdoor walking track. The complex is divided into quadrants and each quadrant has a huge, lush courtyard with a little river, gazebo and a beautiful pool. All are meticulously maintained. This is a great complex!

Like every other business, they have their goods and downs, the management is really great , they take care of things quick, the establishment is very clean, problem with parking, it looks like everyone who lives there like to park at the front even if they live at the side buildings! So for someone who work late evenings can’t find a parking spot ! The rent is very expensive and it increases every time you sign and renew. Let’s not forget the nice neighbors.

So, i've just moved in, and I have to say, in my own opinion, either I'm just lucky or all the stars were just in line for my favor. As a transplant from DC to New Orleans, the property people were polite and had a whole lot of patience with me and All my questions. Even better was their willingness to work with me with sending me paperwork via online, and calling to check up on me, and making sure I had everything I needed in time for my move in date. Thanks sooo much for making my move easy.
