A new kind of play experience is coming to Jefferson Parish. Tripp’s Treehouse, the first all-inclusive playground in Lafreniere Park, will officially open to the public on July 17th, 2025.
Designed with accessibility and inclusion, Tripp’s Treehouse is more than a playground; it’s a space where everyone can explore, engage, and enjoy recreation in a way that works for them. The playground features a variety of elements that support sensory play, independent access, various levels of activity, and multiple ways to interact.
Unlike traditional play areas, this space prioritizes choice and flexibility, offering an environment where people of varying abilities can connect, move, and experience fun together, whether through parallel play, social interaction, or solo exploration.
Tripp’s Treehouse is located in Lafreniere Park at 3000 Downs Boulevard in Metairie (across from the “Bob” Deviney Foundation Center).
