From our newest luxury community, Alluvia in Kenner, to Bella Ridge North and South in River Ridge, and Artesia and Brookstone Park in Covington, each community offers thoughtfully designed spaces for pups to run, play, and socialize.

These on-site dog parks feature fenced-in areas, shaded seating, and in some cases, agility equipment and dog wash stations, making it easy for your furry friend to enjoy the outdoors — all without leaving home. Having a dog park at your community means less planning for trips to public parks and more time enjoying life with your pet.

Alluvia Apartments | Kenner, LA

Our newest luxury community, Alluvia, has a fully equipped on-site bark park with an unleashing area and a paw wash station. It’s a convenient spot for your dog to run, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors without leaving the community.

Bella Ridge North | River Ridge, LA

Bella Ridge North offers Bella Bark, a gated on-site dog park exclusively for residents. The park includes agility equipment, benches, and a covered pavilion so you and your pup can enjoy fresh air, exercise, and time together.

Bella Ridge South | River Ridge, LA

At Bella Ridge South, residents can enjoy Bella Bark and Bath Park, a fun, fenced space featuring agility elements, a shaded cabana with phone charging ports, and a dog wash station for easy cleanup after playtime.

Apartments with Proximity to Lafreniere Park

Several of our Metairie apartment communities, like Sandpiper, Parktowne, Boardwalk, and Breakers, are all just a short distance from Lafreniere Park. This sprawling green space in Metairie features a dog park called the Bark Park, a 5-acre space just for pups.

The park is open on Tuesdays through Sundays from 7 a.m. until dusk. On Mondays, the park opens at 1 p.m. and remains open through dusk. Separated into two sub-parks — one for large dogs and one for dogs under 22 pounds — Bark Park features agility courses and scenic views.


1st Lake Properties Pet Policy

  • Each property has specific deposits and monthly fees for bringing your furry family member to our apartments. You may find your apartment community’s specific pet policy by visiting that property’s page at 1stlake.com/apartments.
  • All dogs, cats, birds, or other animals may be your live-in companions if approved by 1st Lake Properties and a Pet Agreement has been signed.
  • All pets must be leashed when walking around the property grounds, and none are allowed in any pool areas with the exception of service animals.
